How can a body supposedly commited to upholding universal human rigths remain silent and indifferent to this grotesque, alarming abuse of power? It is utterly shameful that the Commonwealth has allowed itself to be so compromised by bigotry and intolerance. There has been plenty of time to take note of and appropriately denounce this evil.
