MANY CONGRATULATIONS!
What do your colleagues, your friends and your local community think about the Commonwealth? Why not help to facilitate a Commonwealth Chat where you live? There are exciting prizes to be won!
What is a Commonwealth Chat?
It is a group of 6-8 people brought together by a facilitator (YOU) for a 1 hour discussion about the future of the Commonwealth. The beauty of a chat is that anyone can take part – whether your participants know a lot about the Commonwealth or nothing at all, their views are just as important!
Who should take part?
You could either facilitate a Commonwealth Chat with people you know well, perhaps from your work, your place of worship, your sports club or interest group, or even just your friends. Or, if you’re feeling confident, why not organise a Chat with people from your local community who you don’t know so well?
How will the results be used?
What you discuss will be fed into the interim recommendations we present to Heads of Government at their Trinidad and Tobago meeting in November 2009. But don’t worry if you miss this deadline – we will still be collecting material until January 2010 when our full report will be published. This is your community’s chance to help shape your Commonwealth in the 21st century. All we ask is that you write a report of your discussions, or record them on tape or video if you can, and send them through to us at the RCS.
What’s in it for me?
The facilitator who writes the best Commonwealth Chat report, judged by the RCS, will be given up to £200 in Amazon.com vouchers!
How do I do it?

Can I take part in Commonwealth Chats that already planned?
If you can’t facilitate your own Commonwealth Chat, you can still join in by taking part in one already planned in your own area. Contact Zoe Ware at conversation@thercs.org to find out more.
